Bowflex TC100 Treadclimber review

Design

It has a compact design with small footprint. But in my opinion, the TC100 is more modern and appealing than previous models of Bowflex. And its 3-in-1 design is also a unique set-up that allows you to enjoy a low-impact workout without affecting a challenging workout.

Display

The 4 separate screens on the TC10 now are combined into a single backlit LCD display on the TC100 with a more spacious design. All exercise data of users is posted on the LED display system including: time, speed, distance and calories burned.

Speed

Users can reach the top speed of 4.0 mph which is ideal for walking, not running. However, in comparison with other treadclimber models, this speed seems to be rather low.

Comfort

Just within the first minute, you can feel the great comfort it provides. This treadclimber puts less strain on the knees and other joints compared to outdoor paths and treadmills so you will feel easier and more comfortable on your body parts. And I often finish my training having more calories burned without too much fatigue.

With 12 resistance levels, the TC100 lets beginners or even athletes adjust the workout specifically to their comfort and fitness level.

Convenience

The TC100 has a modern and compact design that can fit easily for any home spaces. It is also equipped with transport wheels for you to move and store this machine easier as needed. I love the fact that the machine keeps track of my time, distance, speed, heart rate and calories burned by using two user profiles included, which helps users store personalized workout data to help them meet and reach their fitness goals. I love seeing the progress.

Moreover, there is a Goal-Oriented Coach system which tracks your progress over time. This feature is really a great motivator for you to get future fitness goals.

Additionally, the media shelf is designed to keep your smartphones and tablets secure if you want to watch movies or listen to music while you walk.

Assembling

I assembled it in a couple hours by myself despite constant interruptions of 2 small children. In order to assemble more easily, you should watch their assembly video on YouTube or their website, that is very helpful.

In fact, I only needed assistance attaching the console to the main unit.

Performance

I have used elliptical and treadmill and this machine is the best combination of them all. It comes with a 3-in-1 design that combines many of the benefits of an elliptical, stairclimber and treadmill into one machine.

The machine really gets your heart rate going and makes your legs burn! The TC100 is advertised to burn up to 2.5 times more calories with lower levels of fatigue by walking instead of jogging or running and compared to a traditional treadmill even at the same speed thanks to its upward sloping workout angles. Zero to 40 percent power incline settings support muscle with high precision.

Quality

In terms of quality, this product is great. The product has a sturdy frame and 300-pound weight capacity. Based on that, I believe it has a relatively reliable drive system. I hope that it can lasts for more years.

Use

This machine might not be for marathon runners or gym rats, but it’s an ideal option for those who want to have better shape and improve their health as well as appearance. In other words, the treadclimber enables low impact exercise.

Besides, they are also a better choice for those being careful of injury prevention or working on recovery. And if you are looking for equipment that can help you burn lots of calories in less time, this is a good suggestion for you.

Warranty

It is sold with six-week money-back guarantees. Therefore, if there are any problems happen because of the mistakes of the manufacture, you can return it within 6 weeks and get a full refund.

This policy has received high rating and satisfaction from customers. When it comes to warranty, this model provides a full-coverage warranty covering the whole machine for two years. This may be one of the downside of the TC100 because I expect longer warranty time on this product.

Bowflex TC100 Treadclimber - Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Sturdy frame with 300-pound weight capacity.
  • A very efficient alternative to treadmills and elliptical trainers.
  • 3-in-1 workout design helps burn more calories.
  • Easier on the hips, knees and ankles.
  • Provided a six-week money-back guarantee.

Cons

  • According to many reviews, it is noisy at higher speeds.

  • Lacking some basic features like full audio offerings, a built-in cooling fan, and entertainment features on the console area.

The special thing about this model is that it has key performance features as of the TC200 but more budget-friendly. It is the best for those who don’t want to pay for wireless heart rate monitoring and preset workouts.

And in order to buy this machine at the best price, Amazon.com is the best reliable address with great customer services and cheaper prices; I highly recommend it. Read more: Best Treadmills Review
