Exerpeutic 2000 WorkFit Description

Motor

The machine is equipped with a 1.5 HP High Torque Motor that can easily give speed ranges from 0.4mph to 4mph. The motor uses 'Quiet Drive' to reduce any noise when walking and working.

Speed

The speed ranges from 0.4mph to 4mph is suitable for users to walk comfortably while working on the computer. The speeds can be easily controlled by buttons placed on the handles.

Incline

This treadmill is also designed with a motorized incline adjustment range from 0% to 15% for a more effective exercise routine. Users also easily reach their expected fitness goals. In addition to this, the incline system can also help you lose extra pound within short time without damaging your body.

Tread belt

The 40” (L) x 20” (W) tread belt gives user enough space to walk comfortably. However, this size of tread belt is narrower than ones on other desk treadmills. For example, Proform Thinline Pro treadmill desk has 22″W x 60″L running surface, the TR1200-DT7 treadmill desk comes with 20" W x 50" L one.

Console

The console is easy to use and friendly on the eyes. Especially, the smart blue backlit computer display shows user’s progress in terms of time, speed, distance, calories burnt and heart rate. Moreover, through incline system users can make their own workout speed in ranges of 1/ 2/ 3 or 4 MPH and this information will be revealed on display.

Desk top

Desk Top size is 48 inch L x 24 inch W at the widest sections. It is large enough to accommodate a monitor, full size keyboard, mouse and even a phone and a couple of peripherals. Besides, desk accessories include 2 article or cup holders, a pre-drilled hole for AC cords and an AC outlet station. Desk can fold down completely if not in use. It has ability to hold up to 80 pounds of weight with 4 different angle adjustments. Its metal stand is also compatible with an iPad, Kindles and other tablets.

Product Dimensions and Weight

The treadmill is measured at about 70L x 36W x 60H inch and weighs 167 pounds. With these dimensions and weight, it has smaller footprint and lighter weight than other more expensive models. This is also advantage for office use.

Exerpeutic 2000 WorkFit Review

Exerpeutic 2000 WorkFit Treadmill

Comfort

I love this desk. I can't say enough good things about it. For comfort, the desk is designed with a full length molded PU foam arm and wrist support. This design is much better than ProForm Thinline Pro Desk Treadmill in preventing carpal tunnel syndrome. I just use this product for my walking at low pace.

Therefore, 40” (L) x 20” (W) workout surface is enough for me to walk comfortably. However, taller walkers should consider this aspect because it seems to be narrow. Plus, since using this machine, my back doesn't hurt anymore which was caused by sitting around at a desk for so many hours in a day. I convinced another colleague in my company to buy one and she has also relieved her back problems.

Support

This is the only treadmill desk under a thousand dollars that I've seen that offers such huge desk space and inclining ability. I really like the 18-Inch extra-long safety handle which is more than 2X the length of handles on other typical treadmills. It provides me with more balance and stability during workout sessions. With 4 different angle adjustments design on the desk top, I can draw or write while walking with incline. I am 5'6" and have no issues in reaching my laptop. Moreover, when finish walking, I can fold the treadmill base and desk top easily for storage thanks to the aid of hydraulics.

Convenience

It arrived timely and was fairly easy to assemble. Additionally, buttons used to control the belt speed and incline levels are conveniently placed on the handlebars for easier use and control. Besides, these handles even have heart monitoring system so just by using the pulse sensor pads I can measure my heart rate and stay within my target heart rate zone.

Like other good treadmills, the Exerpeutic 2000 also allows me to track the information of my training process including time, speed, distance, calories burnt and heart rate. However, the cup holders are inconveniently placed at very back of the table so I crawl onto the desk to reach my drink.

Performance

As I said, this was the only treadmill attached with a desk at not expensive price. The desk is reasonably steady and I can do work, browse the web, or play games while walking at a pace about 2.0 mph. As we know that, treadmill fitness walking is good way to burn extra calories and achieve a healthy lifestyle. In fact, with Exerpeutic 2000 'Workfit' High Capacity Desk Station Treadmill I can burn up to over 500 calories by walking with a small incline while working on my computer (4 to 5 times the calories than just sitting at my desk to do the same things).

Besides, I feel that working while walking on this treadmill desk also promotes my energy levels as well as increases my productivity throughout the day. It was quiet, very quiet (much more than my Epic treadmill at home) thanks to 'Quiet Drive' used on the motor. However, when I walk at a brisk pace, I feel some movement and shaking on the desk top. But this is not a big issue for most of users because they just often walk at low pace to not affect to their work.

Quality and durability

This treadmill is built with heavy and durable metal that can support high weight capacity. Despite having a lower price than LifeSpan TR1200-DT5 Treadmill Desk or ProForm Thinline Pro Desk Treadmill, its heavy duty reinforced frame can withstand users weighing up to 400 pounds. It’s now two years since I purchased Exerpeutic 2000 Desk Station Treadmill. The treadmill desk has continued serving me well and customer service has been excellent. When it comes to the warranty, 5 year motor warranty and lifetime structure warranty are seems to be reasonable warranty policies for this product at an affordable price.

Use

This is a standing workstation/treadmill. Its speeds are not fast enough for running so you should consider other expensive models from Proform, NordicTrack or LifeSpan. I only recommend it for those who just want to walk while working to lose weight or improve their health. Unlike Proform’s treadmill, this treadmill desk should be only used for one person because the desktop’s height can’t be adjusted to fit the different height of many users.

Check price

Conclusion, don’t need to change working schedule or routine and at the same time get fit and healthy are great benefits I have received from Exerpeutic 2000 'Workfit' High Capacity Desk Station Treadmill. Just simple walking on the Exerpeutic Desk Station Treadmill, you can improve your mental alertness, fight depression, heighten creativity and increase daily productivity.

Compare Exerpeutic 2000 WorkFit to other treadmill desks

LifeSpan TR800-DT5 Treadmill Desk

Because of the non-adjustable desk top height on Exerpeutic 2000, people who have more money may be more interested in the fully-adjustable desk top model of the LifeSpan. It is the TR800-DT5 Treadmill Desk. If you’re 4’10” or 6’8″, you can get right work surface height. This model has a longer but narrower track size in the comparison with the Exerpeutic 2000. The track is designed to absorb impact at six points, making the walking easier on your joints compared with walking outdoors. Its 2.0 HP motor also give a speed range from 0.4 to 4 MPH. However, despite having higher price than Exerpeutic’s treadmill, this only provides 300 pounds maximum user weight.

Rebel Treadmill 1000 Desk Treadmill

Although this treadmill is not attached with a desk like Exerpeutic 2000 WorkFit High Capacity Desk Station Treadmill, it is also a good desk treadmill at not expensive price. Its 1.5 horsepower, DC continuous drive motor give a speed range from 0.5 to 2.0 mph for a comfortable walking speed. The reliable, high-quality, and quiet motor allows you to walk and work without disturbing others. Especially, this treadmill doesn’t have maximum hours of usage per day so users can walk as long as they want without worrying about affecting the warranty. With transportation wheels, this machine can be moved easily. However, Rebel Treadmill 1000 Desk Treadmill only provides a max user weight of 250 lbs.

NordicTrack NTL99115 Desk Treadmill

The last model I feel it is rather similar to Exerpeutic 2000 desk treadmill is the NordicTrack NTL99115 Desk Treadmill. At a little bit higher price than Exerpeutic’ treadmill, this model has a 2.6 HP motor which can give a speed range from 0 to 6 MPH and deliver smooth, consistent power. This maximum speed is higher than one of the Exerpeutic 2000 but it is only suitable for walking not for running. The unit seems to have larger size.

Like Exerpeutic 2000 desk treadmill, it is featured with SpaceSaver design and a 300 lbs max user weight. When it comes to the workout surface, the treadmill also provides enough space for comfortable walking with 18” x 55” tread belt. Moreover, it features a large sturdy work surface (18” x 40” desktop), easy-to-read display, USB charging station, heart rate monitor, and iFit technology. In short, the NordicTrack NTL99115 Desk Treadmill is healthy alternative for convenient multitasking.

My rating:
  • 8.8/10
Exerpeutic 2000 WorkFit High Capacity Desk Station Treadmill - 8.8/10
8.8/10

Summary

8.8/10 is my rating for Exerpeutic 2000 desk station treadmill because of its exciting features at a cheap price. What is your rating for this? Please give your idea!
