Firstly, this model provides me with the same spacious running surface as one on my old Horizon Elite T9. So I could run and stretch my strides comfortably without worrying about falling out of the machine. Especially, this treadmill is designed with the 2-ply track reinforced by 8 shock absorbers. It offers sufficient cushioning to give the users the maximum comfortable strides during their training sessions.
For entertainment, a MP3 connection feature combining with a headphone socket lets me enjoy my favorite music while running. That is as a great motivation to promote me during tough programs. In addition, it has a tablet holder to create a convenient place for me to store my mobile accessories. This design also keeps me entertained with my desirable music videos or movies while doing exercise.
Lastly, I love a 3-speed cooling fan included that keeps me comfortable and cool to last my workouts longer.
Support
Despite the narrower running surface than the Sole Fitness F85, the coarse-textured, 2.8mm updated thick orthopedic belt featured on this machine still offers not only cushioning, support but also an excellent running traction. This combines with the powerful motor to engage the user in injury-free and consistent workouts. There are several useful features built into the hand rails such as the quick change buttons and heart rate hand sensors. They make the speed or incline adjustments more simply and help reduce the need to use the display console.
Another supportive feature that I really like on the TR4000i is USB port that you can use to charge your mobile devices while running. Besides, it is compatible with the online health management system called Interactive Health Partner to help you manage your fitness and health outcome.
Convenience
Fortunately, it is so easy to assemble with clear instructions provided by manufacture. It only took me less than 30 minutes for assembling. In the terms of convenience, the unit comes with an EZ Drop folding design. This feature helps lower the treadmill deck to the ground lightly and allows me to easily move my machine around.

This advantage gives you a quiet environment to get entertained from your MP3 device or the TV. Moreover, the sturdy frame can support users weighing up to 350 LBS. I am a heavy runner but still feel this machine works very stably without any vibration or shaking even at high speeds.
Quality and durability
When it comes to the quality or durability, this machine is built up with aluminum side rails and a 1-inch reversible, commercial-grade deck that offer long-lasting durability. The frame is also made of premium quality steel that can withstand high intensive workouts and heavy users. Plus, as I mentioned above this model has the 2-ply track reinforced by 8 shock absorbers that also contributes to enhancing the durability of the machine too.
The electronics and control panel seem to be solid much more than lower-end models with flimsy and cheap plastic housings. And in order to confirm the high quality of the machine, LifeSpan offers a lifetime warranty on its motor and frame, 5 years on parts and 1 year on labor. After over 11 months of use, I have noticed no problem but good things.

Compare LifeSpan TR4000i Folding Treadmill to other models
Sole Fitness F85
The first model I want to make the comparison with the TR4000i is Sole Fitness F85. This is also considered as one of the best treadmill at the price around $2000. These models have some similar features such as a 12 MPH top speed, 0 to 15% incline range. But generally, the F85 seems to have many better features including a more powerful motor (4.0 HP), higher weight capacity (400lbs).
The running surface on the Sole Fitness F85 is wider 2 inches than the one on the TR4000i. This is equipped with CushionFlex Whisper Deck technology that can decrease joint impact up to 40% compared to running on outdoor surfaces. However, while the F85 only gives you 10 workout programs, the TR4000i provides 21 preset programs which are designed to support you achieve your fitness goals easily. Both these machines are great options for serious runners.

Secondly, I would like to compare it to my old machine is Horizon Elite T9 Treadmill. Both models bring me very comfortable strides thanks to a spacious running surface (60" x 20"). However, Horizon Elite T9 has a less powerful motor than the TR4000i Folding Treadmill. It also offers a top speed up to 12 MPH which is suitable for even heavy running.
Like the LifeSpan treadmill, this model comes with a 0 - 15% incline range as well as 350 LBS weight capacity. In the terms of quality, I think the LifeSpan TR4000i has higher quality compared to the Horizon Elite T9.
However, I still like great features of the Horizon treadmill that aren’t found on the TR4000i such as ViaFit Connect, Free Polar® chest strap, 44 workout programs or variable response cushioning. In short, each model has its own strong points and both them are great treadmills.
LifeSpan TR3000i Folding Treadmill
The last model in the list of treadmills compared to the TR4000i is TR3000i which is also a great model produced by LifeSpan. If you don’t have enough money to purchase TR4000i, this is a good recommendation.
When it comes to main specs, this model only comes with 2.75 HP motor, a 20" x 56" running surface. These specs are lower than ones of the TR4000i but the machine still offers 12 MPH top speed, 0 - 15% incline range and 350 LBS weight capacity. These make the TR3000i one of the good choices for serious runners.
Overall, the TR4000i is considered as a greatly updated model of the TR3000i.
