ProForm Pro 2000 Treadmill review

Rated as 'Best Buy' by a leading consumer magazine, ProForm Pro 2000 Treadmill indeed provides excellent features and great quality which are difficult to find. What is the truth? This article is my personal reviews about this product based on my experience as well as general reviews of other users.

ProForm Pro 2000 Treadmill review

3.5-HP motor

This motor is very powerful. Precision engineering guarantees the motor works silently even at the toughest workouts. It is self-cooling for higher durability and long-lasting life. This can also support treadmill to be used by individuals weighing up to 350 pounds.

Display

The 8″ display of the PRO 2000 can easily be seen from different heights.

iFit technology

This great technology provides extensive fitness library which gives you unlimited workouts like the 60-Day Weight Loss or 30-Day Fresh Start for Treadmills. It keeps me motivated to come back to training without being bored. Besides, with this technology, trainees can connect with friends on Facebook, and even simulate Google Maps trails.

Track

The treadmill has a nice long deck which is fairly wide, and absorbs the shock from my stride really well thanks to a ProShox lite Cushioning Deck. This feature keeps impact to a minimum and provides me with smooth and more comfortable ride. It also allows long runs without causing knee pain. The belt is 20" x 60" 1-Ply Commercial Tread Belt which allows you to stride out. It can accommodate even the tallest and widest runners.

Comfort

No wiggling, jiggling or shaking are the great feeling I felt when I first try the Pro 2000 Treadmill. It was a lot bigger than expected but very comfortable and sturdy to run on without too much noise. There are fans on each side to cool you off.

Performance

This beast is very heavy and performs like a Gym-grade professional treadmill. It runs very quietly and smoothly in my opinion and the fans work excellent. I have hardwood floors in my apartment and was worried about the pounding and thumping disturbing my neighbors, but I stood right next to it and didn’t feel a thing. The PRO 2000 can get your heart pumping with fast speed training. This treadmill has a speed range from 0 to 12 miles per hour or a 5-minute mile pace. Especially, when you walk at 15 percent incline, this can help you burn double calories. Speed and incline operation are really smooth, and there is no impact on my knees. You can also easily change them with only the convenient “One-Touch” button. Moreover, I'm a heavy runner weighed 200 lbs. and this handled the load pretty well. I highly recommend this machine to anyone who weighs less than 350 pounds.

Convenient

This is easy to be put together and use, especially the main controls. It took me an hour to put it all together. It is more convenient than some others because you can change speeds and inclines while you are walking or running without stopping. There are plenty of compartments allowing you to put your tablet or other things such as remote controls, water, phone, etc. Proform brand has also designed its product with innovative SpaceSaver technology to make storage more convenient. Especially, this design comes with the hydraulic spring EasyLift Assist that helps lift and lower the treadmill deck effortlessly. It is designed with a heart rate belt for you to strap around your chest, but to me it's is unnecessary because I often use the hand grips on the machine which are pretty accurate.

Quality

ProForm is a well-known company in the fitness and health industry. This treadmill is the least expensive member of ProForm’s new PRO lineup with acceptable quality. I was impressed by the frame and how well it seems to be engineered. It has the solid steel frame which creates a sturdy structure and makes me feel more confident when running on this treadmill. I hesitated about buying this treadmill after reading a mixture of bad and good reviews. I couldn't spend more so I bought it and hope for the best. I purchased this almost 3 months ago, and have walked and run on it every day. No issues or complaints so far. However, the deck is made of material like a thick plastic which seems to be cracked easily so I am not sure how long this part can last.

Warranty

This treadmill has lifetime warranty on motor and frame, a 2-year warranty on labor, and 5-year warranty on parts. This warranty policy is acceptable for its price. But if it’s possible, I still hope ProForm offers longer warranty time for parts and labor.

Use

ProForm Pro 2000 Treadmill is considered as a heavy duty treadmill for home use. The treadmill can be used for walker, jogger, and runner or training to go downhill as well as uphill with it -3 percent decline, 15 percent incline, 32 programmed workouts and endless training possibilities. It will give you the workout which you have to pay to get at the gym. Burn more calories, boost cardio endurance, and improve real-road conditioning are the large benefits of this great treadmill. My wife is a walker and I am a marathon runner and we both enjoy this treadmill.
