When my Exerpeutic 2000 WorkFit High Capacity Desk Station Treadmill was broken down, I wanted to find a good replacement for it.
My friend suggested me to try Rebel Treadmill 1000 because this model also has a cheap price like my old treadmill.
After long time of use, I have been satisfied with this product about the quality, good features as well as health benefits it has brought to me.
Rebel Treadmill 1000 Under Desk Treadmill - Pros & Cons
Pros
Cons
Rebel Treadmill 1000 Under Desk Treadmill Description
Motor
The Rebel Treadmill 1000 is a treadmill base that is used to fit under a standing-height desk. This machine is equipped with 1.5 horsepower, DC continuous drive motor. It runs extremely quiet and smoothly.
Speed
Speed range from 0.5 to 2.0 mph is perfect for walking while working without affecting to productivity and working up a sweat. If you want to have office treadmill with higher top speed, you can refer LifeSpan TR1200-DT5 Treadmill Desk or NordicTrack Treadmill Desk.
Tread belt
The 2-ply belt is measured about 49.6” x 18.1”. In the comparison with other treadmill desk models, this size seems to be a little bit narrow. But it is still long enough for user to walk comfortably.
Console
The console of the treadmill is also small (8”x3”) and easy to use. It includes the control panel with a start button that begins with 0.5, a stop button and a view button for time, speed, and mileage. There is an emergency stop tag too.
Rebel Treadmill 1000 Under Desk Treadmill reviews
Comfort
I can work with more comfortable mind than before. With low speed range provided by the quite motor, the machine allows me to walk at a leisurely pace while talking on the phone, typing or checking things comfortably. It also helps reduce my back pain caused by sitting too much. Just kidding but my butt is not spreading but shrinking.
Although the size of machine is small but still long enough for me to feel perfectly comfortable and secure walking. I have paired the treadmill with VARIDESK Pro Plus 36 - an electric lowering and raising desk and probably adjusted 4-5 times a day to get ergonomic comfort.
Another good desk that users often use to combine with this machine is Rebel adjustable standing desk. The small downside when it comes to the comfort is that the company has used rather thin rubber layer. This is maybe the reason causing the noise or the hurt on my feet after walking for long time.
Support
The treadmill starts and stops gradually so there is no sudden stopping or sudden jerking up to speed except if the magnet comes loose and you pull the safety cord. Besides, this treadmill has no maximum hours of usage per day.
Therefore, I can operate it until I feel tired without voiding the warranty. This product not only has a good quality but also has great support from the company.
Especially, with The Rebel Treadmill 1000 you have a chance to check the quality and operation of the machine within 30 days and then consider whether it works well for you. If you don’t like it, you can return it because this product comes with 30-day full money-back guarantee and hassle-free returns.
Convenience
I was so impressed with the engineering effort Rebel must have taken to dramatically reduce the weight of a treadmill. At just 88lbs, this treadmill is very easy to setup. Additionally, while most of the products offered such as Pro-Form Thinline Pro Treadmill Desk and Nordic Track’s treadmills were too big, the Rebel Treadmill 1000 with compact design. It fits perfectly for my narrow office.
The narrower width and lower height of the Rebel Desk treadmill also lets it slide under everything perfectly. You can move it easily by using the front wheels to place the treadmill console on the desktop, hit "Start" button to start walking and working or to free up space after using it.
The console is easy and simple to operate too. It shows either speed, time elapsed, or distance walked. It is also very efficient and handy because I just need to hit the STOP button to pause the treadmill if I want to hop off.
And if I hit START within 20 minutes, the machine will return to the previously set speed without needing to reset the speed.
Performance
Walking on an office treadmill has been proven to release endorphins that can make users feel comfortable, happier and more productive. In fact, I realize that my health and even my work productivity have been improved since using office treadmills.
I often stroll between 1.3 and 1.5 mph with this unit. At that speed, I can really maintain focus on my work because I'm not tightening up from sitting still or falling asleep. I was so amazed at how easy it is to take phone calls and type while walking without any noise or instability. The noise it makes is imperceptible to my coworkers. The steps I take are fairly quiet as well.
However, if you work in too small room, it is likely to annoy to others. Moreover, with that low speed I can also walk in comfortable shoes and regular work clothes without working up a sweat.
Besides, the Rebel Treadmill 1000 is advertised to can burn up to 745 calories a day. In fact, my friend has been using it for a little over a month now and has lost ten pounds.
Overall, health benefits I received since using this unit are tremendous decrease in back pain, greater stamina and energy level, no afternoon drowsiness, legs are much stronger, and my overall body tone is improving.
Quality and durability
The frugal people are targeted customer of the Rebel treadmill who is looking for the smallest footprint, lowest cost options. However, despite having low price point, the Rebel Treadmill really makes me amazed.
The treadmill base is equipped with an ultra-quiet, high-quality motor, strong frame built of metal and solid-rubber materials. The sleek frame can withstand user weighing 250 pounds.
When it comes to the warranty, this product has a warranty of 2 years for the motor, 1 year for labor, parts, electronics, and 20 years for the frame. It is hard to know how long the treadmill will last because it depends on so many factors. But after over 10 months of use, the unit has been worked perfectly for me.
Use
If you had a standing-height desk and are looking for a home treadmill to fit under it, then the Rebel Treadmill 1000 is a good choice. It is specially designed for office use.
I highly recommend this for those who want to prevent health issues relating to sitting too much. Or for someone who are planning to lose weight but are too busy with their work. I want to remind you that this treadmill is only for walking not for running.

Conclusion
I see no reason to spend $1,500 - $2,000 for other models when this one is sturdy, compact, nice looking, and seems well-built with price less than $700. I love my Rebel Treadmill, and so will you. Let the walking-work revolution begin!
Compare to other models
Exerpeutic 2000 WorkFit High Capacity Desk Station Treadmill
As I said, I purchased the Rebel Treadmill 1000 after my old Exerpeutic 2000 broken down. After using both models, I confirm that two these machines work well for me in their own ways. They allow me to walk while working effectively.
Exerpeutic 2000 offer 0.4mph to 4mph while the Rebel Treadmill offers 0.5 to 2.0 mph speed range. These speeds are suitable for my walking without affecting to work productivity. However, the Rebel Treadmill 1000 provides more spacious workout surface than Exerpeutic 2000.
In contrast, Exerpeutic’s has a higher user weight capacity and a useful 0% to 15% incline feature. In my opinion, if you had a standing-height desk already, you should choose the Rebel Treadmill 1000 if not Exerpeutic 2000 WorkFit High Capacity Desk Station Treadmill is a better option.
LifeSpan TR800-DT3 Under Desk Treadmill
In the comparison with the smallest LifeSpan unit- the TR800, the Rebel Treadmill 1000 is slightly shorter, narrower, and lower to the ground so it is more suitable for narrow space. However, TR800-DT3 is rated as a good under desk treadmill at a cheap price.
Its 2.0 HP High Torque Continuous duty motor offers a speed range from 0.4 to 4.0 MPH. This model provides longer workout surface than the Rebel Treadmill 1000 at 52" length. Its maximum user weight is also higher compared to Rebel’ Treadmill.
Moreover, because of its higher price, the machine also has some other better features such as six points shock absorption or Bluetooth integration. But there is a feature on Rebel treadmill that I like more is that it has no maximum hours of usage per day while the LifeSpan TR800-DT3 only allows users to walk for three hour.
iMovR ThermoTread GT Office Treadmill
If you are looking for a treadmill base with more great features and support more for your walking, I would like to recommend ThermoTread GT Office Treadmill of iMovR. In the terms of speed, this model provides the top speed at 2.5 MPH which is a little bit higher than 2.0 MPH top speed of Rebel’s treadmill. But come at more expensive price compared to the Rebel Treadmill 1000, iMovR ThermoTread GT Office Treadmill has many better features.
Firstly, the ThermoTread's 20"-wide x 52" length treadmill belt provides users with a more spacious walking surface. This works well in preventing hip and leg pain during bouts of prolonged walking. The model can withstand heavier user weight up to 400 LBS and work much more quietly than Rebel’s treadmill could do.
Besides, it also comes with an automatic fan and a modern Touch-screen LCD. However, the office treadmill is much heavier and larger than the Rebel Treadmill 1000 so you should consider if your office space is not wide.
Summary
9.1/10 is my rating for the great features and benefits this office treadmill brings to me at a very cheap price. I'm happy enough that I am buying a second one. How about you?
